Open Access Textbooks

West Virginia History: An Open Access Reader is a collection of essays that serve as a reader for courses on the Mountain State's history. Users can access the book in PDF, HTML, and ePUB format.

The 2017 Directory for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) is an OA resource for faculty instructors to learn about each others' scholarly-pedagogical work and to build collaborations where possible.

The Bad Ideas About Writing collection, coming soon, counters major myths about writing instruction. Inspired by the provocative science- and social-science-focused book This Idea Must Die and written for a general audience, the collection offers opinionated, research-based statements intended to spark debate and to offer a better way of teaching writing. Part of Bad Ideas About Writing will appear in Inside Higher Ed, and the DPI will publish the collection.
